JAZZistry's STRATEGIC PLAN

GOALS:

STRATEGIC DIRECTION 1: IMPROVE FINANCIAL STABILITY AND SOUND FUNDRAISING TO SUPPORT GROWTH.

Goal 1: Create an annual financial planning process

  • Develop annual budget
  • Develop budget calendar
  • Develop grant calendar, linked to budget (board approval)
  • Create annual and multi-year Development plan,
  • Financial training for the board (ongoing)

Goal 2: Expand Fundraising Capacity

  • Develop case statement and tools for fundraising
  • Ongoing fundraising training and support for board and volunteers to hit targets
  • Develop defined roster of fundraising volunteers “Friends of Jazzistry” 

Goal 3: Cultivate contributions Donor-Base overall

STRATEGIC DIRECTION 2: GROW AND ADAPT PROGRAMS TO HEIGHTEN IMPACT

Goal 5: Increase Jazzistry program activities by ___ (including defining subset of performances matched to mission, cost, etc.)

Goal 6: Customize presentations

  • Develop scripts for specific time periods and specific audiences
  • Train musicians for various scripts

  • Develop various ways to do pre-presentation prep for students/audience cultivation
  • Develop options for implementation
  • Perform outreach and follow up for national and regional expansion, i.e. pricing, timing, promotions, connections, etc.

Goal 7: Develop expanded resources on website for students and educators

  • Tap program and curriculum committee capacity for development and model implementation
  • Determine Marketing connections, underwriting strategies

Goal 8: Expand circle of mission driven board, staff, volunteers

  • Establish more active committees with friends and supporters
